Opening Makerslab

On Saturday 19 April, the Makerslab, the new creative breeding ground of the municipality of Alphen aan den Rijn, will be festively opened. The Makerslab is a place where young creative talents can develop and excel through mutual cross-pollination. In the lab you will find, among other things, a practice and dance space for a dance collective, a music studio and flexible space for makers and urban sports.

At 13:00, the Makerslab will be officially opened, followed by a performance by creative makers. Between 13:30 and 17:00, everyone aged 10 and over can participate in free workshops. For example, dive into the vibrant world of salsa, have fun on the Chase Tag track, experiment with modern dance or let yourself be carried away by the rousing rhythms of Afro house. Would you rather get started with music or poetry? Then take part in the workshop by Alphen city poet Chanty Louis or discover the drummer in yourself during an energetic drum session.
